Holiday Cheer ...
Chicago, IL - From December 1 - 14, New Home Star hosted its annual company-wide photo contest encouraging team members nationwide to spread holiday cheer in two ways: by showcasing their festive home decor and by decorating model homes with seasonal style. New Home Star employees were encouraged to post pictures on the company’s sales enablement platform, New Home Connect™, using a specific hashtag. For each submission, the company would donate a toy to a child in need during the holiday season.
“This contest is a special one to the entire organization as we’re able to make a difference while spreading holiday cheer throughout this festive time,” says Director of Marketing, Chris Laskowski. “As a company, we continually look for ways to strengthen our team bond, and this contest delivers on that each year.”
With countless hashtags used with the catchphrase “Holiday Cheer” and hundreds of photos captured of agents throughout the country spreading cheer, New Home Star donated 156 toys to children in need through the Toys for Tots program. “We are ecstatic that we were able to increase engagement from last year and help more families in need during this time of year,” says Assistant Marketing Manager, Erin Lyons. “Seeing all the pictures on New Home Connect™ combined with the charitable aspect of this contest truly showcases the spirit of the season.”
New Home Star partnered with a local fire station in Elmhurst as the drop-off location for the toy donation. The organization hopes to continue this initiative for years to come as a way to celebrate the holiday season and give back in meaningful ways.
