New Home Star ...
Chicago, IL - From December 1-14, 2023, New Home Star hosted a company-wide photo contest encouraging employees nationwide to spread holiday cheer. During the first week, new home consultants were encouraged to deck the halls of their model with seasonal decorations. In the second week, they were encouraged to showcase acts of kindness. This could be hosting a coat/food drive, making baked goods for hometown heroes, volunteering with their team, and more. During these two weeks, they were encouraged to utilize New Home Star’s proprietary homebuilder software, New Home Connect™, to post pictures with the hashtag, #holidaycheer. For each post created, the company would donate a toy to a child in need during this holiday season.
“Every year, we are grateful to participate in this initiative,” says Director of Marketing, Chris Laskowski. “Being able to spread cheer and give to those in our local community and beyond is a great way to spread joy this holiday season. We could not have done this without the participation of our team members and their eagerness to live out our core value of giving in meaningful ways.”
New Home Star employees delivered the toys to the Toys for Tots program at the local fire station. “Seeing the joyful radiance from handing over the toys was a huge highlight,” says Marketing Manager Erin Henderson. “This initiative serves a special place in our company and is a great way to celebrate this season of giving.” The organization is eager to continue supporting its local communities in even more ways come the new year.
