New Home Star Donates Over 140 Toys to Children in Need

Chicago, IL (December 24, 2025) — From December 8 to 12, 2025, New Home Star hosted its annual company-wide holiday initiative, which resulted in the donation of over 140 gifts to Toys for Tots. 

“We’re proud to support children in need by gifting them with toys during the holiday season,” says Marketing Director Chris Laskowski. “Giving in meaningful ways is central to who we are at New Home Star, and our focus is on creating lasting impact for these children and investing in a stronger future.” 

New Home Star team members nationwide were encouraged to spread holiday cheer in various ways, such as decorating model homes, wearing festive attire, or performing acts of kindness and posting about them on the firm’s proprietary sales enablement platform, New Home Connect™, using the hashtag #HolidayCheer. For every post, New Home Star donated one toy to help a child in need during the holiday season. 

“It’s so impactful each year we can host this initiative and witness teams from across the country unite for this cause, showing genuine eagerness to give back,” says Director of Communications & Engagement Erin Henderson. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with local nonprofits and make an impact in the communities we serve.” 

New Home Star partnered with the Elmhurst Fire Department, which served as a drop-off location for the toy donation.
