New Home Star ...
Chicago, IL - This month, New Home Star is kicking off its new partnership with One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization dedicated to making it easy to contribute to the environment. In an effort to fulfill its values of being a sustainable service provider and giving back in meaningful ways, New Home Star has pledged to donate $1 to the organization for every home sold across all 30 divisions in 2020.
Partnering with schools, individuals, and companies both large and small across the country, One Tree Planted aims to foster a positive relationship with the environment on a national scale. Businesses can participate in outreach programs and engagement sessions where time, funds, and servitude can be given to their cause. “Giving back in meaningful ways is one of our company’s core values and to be able to partner with an organization that is dedicated to helping the environment means a lot to us all,” says NHS Founder, David Rice. “By doing so, we are able to help keep our earth sustainable and continue to help create a better tomorrow for the planet and our teams alike.”
Since it’s inception in 2014, One Tree Planted has operated with a goal of improving our earth and helping organizations across the world to develop and maintain sustainable practices. To kick off the new partnership, New Home Star’s Corporate Support Office volunteered their time at Busse Woods Forest Preserve to remove invasive brush that was harming wildlife anrd indigenous species in the area. “We had an awesome time volunteering for One Tree Planted at Busse Woods,” says Director of Corporate Operations, Taylor Holop. "Being able to get out as a team and live our company values is important for us all and we are excited for our national teams to be able to do the same.”
NHS teams will continue the partnership by taking part in volunteer and stewardship events hosted by One Tree Planted in addition to the monetary donations that will be made to encourage the firm’s values of giving back in meaningful ways.
