Chicago, IL - From June 10-15, New Home Star hosted its ninth annual Builder Appreciation Week with the goal of showing gratitude to the firm’s builder partners. Following the past several year’s traditions, the organization placed a strong focus on its Giving Every Moment (GEM) Project, a company-wide volunteer and service program. Team members organized ways to show appreciation to builder staff on every level of their business to ensure the initiative made a significant impact.
To highlight the importance of social responsibility and the charitable aspect of the initiative, each division was encouraged to organize a volunteer event in their local community. After the event, New Home Star provided financial support to charities and non-profit organizations in honor of its builder partners.
“Since the beginning of our organization, we have held strongly to our core value of giving in meaningful ways,” says New Home Star Founder David Rice. “We strive to leave a positive impact within our communities and go the extra mile to showcase gratitude to our builder partners nationwide.”
New Home Star volunteered with and donated to the following charities on behalf of our builder partners:
- Clothes to Kids
- HomeAid Orlando
- Elijah Family Homes
- Habitat ReStore
- Habitat for Humanity
- Adopt a Buzzard
- Habitat for Humanity
- American Legion Unit 199
In addition to showing community support, each division also held an appreciation luncheon and presented construction crew and corporate staff members with treats and gifts throughout the week to further drive the initiative home.
“Every partner and team member is vital to our organization,” says Vice President of Business Operations Mary Lindeman. "We look forward to this special week annually to recognize each individual who touches our partnerships every day.”
