International Builders' Show: Your Complete 2026 Guide

By Star Report 13 min read

What is the International Builders' Show?

The International Builders' Show (IBS), hosted by the National Home Builder Association, is the world's largest annual light construction show. Last year, the show welcomed more than 76,000 visitors worldwide.

IBS 2026 will be held at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC)  from February 17 to 19, 2026.

This show connects, improves, and educates the residential construction industry, focusing on advancement. It serves as a central hub for unveiling new products, showcasing construction demonstrations, hosting sessions with industry thought leaders, conducting workshops, engaging in panel discussions, and much more. The insights, products, and expertise attendees acquire at this event will provide tangible ideas and practical solutions, empowering their teams to enhance and strengthen their business.

Preparing for the International Builders' Show in Orlando

For first-time attendees, the International Builders' Show can seem quite overwhelming. With numerous educational sessions, hundreds of exhibitor booths, and various networking opportunities, it's essential to research beforehand to make the most of your experience. The 2026  floor plans, event schedules, and exhibitor lists are all featured on buildersshow.com

At the show, attendees can interact with exhibitor booths, attend educational sessions, and network with industry professionals. By looking ahead, attendees can plan to visit interest-specific areas of the show to find products, learn about the latest industry trends, and expand their network. To stay organized, attendees can download the app (available in January 2026).

OCCC is a massive space, and there will be lots of walking. Comfortable shoes and attire are a must. Business casual is the standard dress code, but attendees are also welcome to wear jeans or suits.

When packing for this event, guests may want to bring a backpack for flyers and promotional items, a notebook and pen to take notes, especially during the educational sessions, and a portable charger, as cell service tends to be slower due to the large number of attendees.

Additionally, many of the sponsors, including New Home Star, tend to host after-parties. These events foster a more relaxed atmosphere for interacting with industry professionals and even signing business deals. The venues for the after-parties feature coveted views and some of the most prestigious locations.
