New Home Star Hosts their Tenth Annual March Madnezz Contest

Chicago, IL (April 9, 2025) — On April 6, 2026, March Madnezz, New Home Star’s annual sales competition, officially came to a close. The contest has been a staple at New Home Star since its inception in 2016 and is designed to increase sales performance on all fronts before the start of the spring selling season.

“This competition has become a real cornerstone of our culture, giving teams across the country the chance to think creatively and bring their very best,” says Marketing Director Chris Laskowski. “Every year, we’re inspired by the momentum it creates, not only within our teams, but in the value delivered to our builder partners.”

Drawing inspiration from the popular NCAA basketball tournament, the bracket-style competition pits the company’s national divisions against each other in 32-team matchups. Sales professionals are challenged to maximize their performance in meeting their sales goals over five weeks. The team with the highest prorated sales-to-goal percentage for each matchup advances to the next round until one victor remains.

New Home Star is proud to announce that the Maronda Home’s Columbus, Ohio, division took first place by achieving 184% of its monthly sales goal. For the grand prize, the champions were given a choice between a next-level tech package, including an Amazon Echo, an Amazon gift card, and Meta Wayfarer sunglasses, or a premier travel package with a premium leather duffle bag and a travel gift card, perfect for the next vacation.
